PCM Encore Launches Affiliated Tax Business

The new offering provides tax and estate planning services to run alongside PCM Encore's services around family office, direct investment and wealth solutions.
PCM Encore, headquartered in Bellevue, Washington, has introduced its affiliated entity, PCM Tax, which will operate independently while providing comprehensive in-house tax and estate planning services to the firm’s roster of family office and private wealth clients.
Joe Hendrickson, tax planning executive who previously advised Berkshire Partners’ managing directors on complex in-house family office matters – including tax strategy, estate planning, and wealth structuring – has been hired to lead PCM Tax.
Hendrickson will work closely with founder Michael Paulus (main picture) and PCM Encore’s team.
PCM Tax will offer tax and estate planning services to complement PCM Encore’s existing family office, direct investment, and broader wealth management solutions. The new platform will provide differentiated and customized services such as exit and liquidity planning, tax preparation and filing, quarterly estimates, entity structuring, and tax-efficient asset placement, PCM said in a statement.
PCM Tax, which will be available to PCM Encore clients, will operate as an affiliated but fully independent legal entity from PCM Encore. (Advisory services may be included for PCM Encore clients; preparation, filing, and specialized services incur added fees.)
Hendrickson has joined PCM Encore as an experienced tax and family office advisor with a background of working with high and ultra-high net worth individuals and complex wealth structures.
Prior to PCM Encore, he worked at Berkshire Partners, RSM US LLP, and Apercen Partners LLC, where he advised on a wide range of sophisticated tax, estate, and other financial matters.

The addition of Hendrickson follows PCM Encore’s growth in less than 10 months of providing investment and wealth management solutions to sophisticated family offices and HNW clients.
PCM Encore now serves over 60 families. Besides its Bellevue office, the firm has advisors and investment professionals based in Aspen, Charlotte, Dallas, Denver, Seattle, New York City, and Menlo Park.
